How to get an abortion in Oregon
If you or anyone you know is pregnant, you should talk to your doctor or get an appointment to get pregnant-related information and advice from a trained Oregon health care provider.
But even if you don’t want to go to the doctor, there are many resources available.
Here are some things to know about getting an abortion.
The first step in getting an appointment: Get the date and time of your appointment.
The doctor or health care professional you call is the one you want to talk to about an abortion, said Kelly Ehrhardt, director of health information at Planned Parenthood of Oregon, which provides reproductive health services in the state.
Ehrhart said it is important to know the clinic you’re visiting, what services it offers and where to get the information you need.
Ask the health care practitioner for their contact information and what other information they can provide you, she said.
If you have questions, ask them.
“What is your procedure?” or “Is there an ultrasound?
Do I need to bring a doctor’s note?”
If you don.
ask for an appointment by calling the clinic.
You’ll need to call in advance to make sure it’s open and to set up appointments with staff.
The second step in abortion-related care: Call Planned Parenthood’s clinic.
It will provide you with an appointment and give you some information about your rights, including the types of birth control you should be using and the procedure you can expect.
If your doctor agrees, they will also give you information about what tests and procedures you should do if you have an ectopic pregnancy.
Your doctor will also provide you an abortion pill.
“If you’re a woman in your late 30s or 40s, it might not be possible to get a full abortion in your state,” said Amanda Linn, medical director at Planned Parent Alliance, which helps parents of young children navigate the health insurance system.
Linn said she and other members of the organization have been talking with Planned Parenthood to see if we can make an appointment for the first time.
“They’ve been incredibly helpful,” she said, but she said the group will need to do more work to make an abortion accessible to women in their late 20s and early 30s.
The group is working on getting more information from Planned Parenthood, she added.
How do I get a health plan?
You can find out how to get your health insurance by contacting your state’s health insurance agency or the Department of Human Services.
You can also find more information about how to apply for health insurance online at health.oregon.gov.
You must have health insurance to get insurance through your employer or a group health plan.
If this is your first pregnancy, you’ll need an employer-provided plan that covers birth control, sterilization and other procedures that will prevent pregnancy.
You also can use your state-issued birth control patch to get birth control coverage.
You need to have coverage from your health plan to get coverage from Medicaid.
If not, you can apply for coverage through your state health insurance agencies.
If, for example, you don,t have coverage through the Oregon Health Authority, you might be eligible for state funding to cover contraception.
If so, you may be eligible to apply through the state Health Care Cost Containment System.
In the Oregon health plan, you will be able to choose how much you want from your monthly premium, which will help you pay for a plan that is affordable for your family size.
“We think it’s a great tool for people who are struggling,” said Erin Kuehl, the executive director of the Center for Reproductive Rights, which represents Planned Parenthood.
“There are so many people who need access to birth control in Oregon.
They need to know that they can get birth to avoid unwanted pregnancies and prevent unintended pregnancies.”
How to find an abortion clinic in your area: You can look up a clinic’s phone number on the Oregon Department of Health website or ask for one on the call line at Planned PP’s office.
They’ll also post up on the clinic’s website, a map of the area, and a list of clinics and locations that are within a five-mile radius of the clinic that provide abortions.
Planned Parenthood also posts a list on its website of clinics that have had referrals from the Oregon Medical Board.
They also have information about clinics in other states that have health care centers.
The clinics that offer abortions are called abortion providers.
You should also call the local health department to make a booking to have an abortion at that location, Ehrass said.
In some counties, you also can request an abortion from the nearest county health department, she noted.
The health care facility will ask you to show ID to make the appointment, and if you show ID, they can do the following: Check for a current driver’s license and proof of
